We are a young couple who left the city to seek an alternative lifestyle in the middle of nature where the air is fresher, the sky is bluer and where time passes slower. We want to live life to the fullest, in harmony with nature and with the people around us.

We see ourselves as a link between nature and the modern world. We believe that we can take the best of both worlds and create a whole new world that will be superior.

We admire nature and want to immerse ourselves in it. We want to go back to basics, grow our own vegetables, and learn about premium technologies for harvesting the sun.
ABOUT CULTIVARTE

Cultivarte is an eco-center for ecology, well-being, physical disciplines and community, flourishing in a wonderful mango farm in the countryside of exotic Colombia, 80 kilometers from Bogotá and 15 minutes from the quiet town of Anapoima . Cultivating yourself is blessed with a permanently warm climate, plenty of tropical fruits, and a vivid nature all around. We have enthusiastic visitors from all over the world, all year round.
CONSTRUCTION OF OUR HOUSE

When we bought our land, there was an abandoned bamboo house where only bats lived. We received proposals from various architects who wanted to completely demolish the house and build it from scratch. However, we decided that we wanted to work with the original house to reduce costs and waste.

We got together with a bamboo expert / architect Jaime Peña and his team and they helped us make our dream of building our house with our own hands come true.
During most of the construction there were only three of us working around the house, with only basic tools and no sophisticated machines. In total it took us a year and a half to finish the house.

Working with bamboo was a wonderful experience that we loved. This is why we try to use bamboo in as many future projects as we can.
